Surgery Delayed

I took Barrett in for surgery this morning to remove the tumor. However, they called me saying that they can't operate today. When they checked his blood work they found a very high WBC count. Barrett is now on IV antibiotics and will spend the night, maybe longer, at the vet's. His temperature was normal, so we're not sure what's causing the infection. He may have the surgery Thursday. It's so quiet in the house-even with the 3 cats and 5 rats. Sigh.
