When you buy a house you inherit many things. These little beauties were a delightful surprise. The last owners of my house really let the place go, especially the landscaping. Beautiful old trees died shortly after I moved in due to lack of care from "those people". However, early each spring all over the lawn I can find these little wild violets. Leftovers from the past, so beautiful and fragrant. Violets are my favorite flower. Having this house really is kismet.

Wild violets are my favorite flower. I'm bummed because I can't get any to grow here in TX. They're probably the thing I miss the most about living "north".
They really are pretty. All I got was grass that won't seem to turn green.
