If he was alive, today would have been my grandpa's 93rd birthday! How he loved to celebrate. The party would start the weekend before the 4th of July and continue through the weekend after his birthday, July 7th. There'd be games-water balloon toss, egg toss, jarts and more. And the food! Piles and piles of unending food and drink. We'd be in my grandparent's backyard-climbing the bankon to the railroad tracks to watch the fireworks and setting off sparklers of our own. It was a simpler time, a happier, more innocent time. I miss it. And them.
