New Arborvitae

The new hedges are in. Yea! I finally replaced the dying hedges on the east side of my property with arborvitae. Well, the landscapers replaced them. Unfortunately, with my back still not working I can't dig and lift and basically plant shrubs, even if they are relatively small. The bad news is that the new plants are under a Black Walnut tree, which the landscaper just told me releases a toxin into the soil. So, the new plants may die. The good news is that after planting them he said the soil looks good. So we hope and pray.
