Alignment:
True Neutral A true neutral character does what seems to be a good idea. He doesn't feel strongly one way or the other when it comes to good vs. evil or law vs. chaos. Most true neutral characters exhibit a lack of conviction or bias rather than a commitment to neutrality. Such a character thinks of good as better than evil after all, he would rather have good neighbors and rulers than evil ones. Still, he's not personally committed to upholding good in any abstract or universal way. Some true neutral characters, on the other hand, commit themselves philosophically to neutrality. They see good, evil, law, and chaos as prejudices and dangerous extremes. They advocate the middle way of neutrality as the best, most balanced road in the long run. True neutral is the best alignment you can be because it means you act naturally, without prejudice or compulsion. However, true neutral can be a dangerous alignment when it represents apathy, indifference, and a lack of conviction.

Race:
Humans are the most adaptable of the common races. Short generations and a penchant for migration and conquest have made them physically diverse as well. Humans are often unorthodox in their dress, sporting unusual hairstyles, fanciful clothes, tattoos, and the like.

Class:
Rangers are skilled stalkers and hunters who make their home in the woods. Their martial skill is nearly the equal of the fighter, but they lack the latter's dedication to the craft of fighting. Instead, the ranger focuses his skills and training on a specific enemy a type of creature he bears a vengeful grudge against and hunts above all others. Rangers often accept the role of protector, aiding those who live in or travel through the woods. His skills allow him to move quietly and stick to the shadows, especially in natural settings, and he also has special knowledge of certain types of creatures. Finally, an experienced ranger has such a tie to nature that he can actually draw on natural power to cast divine spells, much as a druid does, and like a druid he is often accompanied by animal companions. A ranger's Wisdom score should be high, as this determines the maximum spell level that he can cast.

New Brain Age Result.

I had my mom try Brain Age, but she was having problems so I retook the test to see what the problem was. Well, I think I may have figured out why I scored so poorly on my first attempt. I was taking more tests, tests I had not tried before. I don't know what the problem was...maybe my mom and I are even more alike than I thought. At any rate, I got a new brain age-39! That's better!

Brain Age

I know that it's important to keep your brain active, especially as you get older. I got the Wii Fit to try to help my body and now I got Brain Age for my DSi to help my brain. While I know my body is in trouble, I thought my brain was doing quite well. I pride myself on my intelligence. I read constantly and I write. I also do creative things. I started this new game with a test to get my Brain Age. To my dismay I discovered that my brain is 69! My Wii Fit Age is MUCH better than that-last check I was 36! Good heaven's. Well, I'm training my brain every day now. I still can't believe my body is in better shape than my brain-I'm in trouble!

Nintendo DSi

A few years ago I realized, belatedly, that you could actually get stuff for free with points from using your credit card. I signed up and have gotten some great things: enough gift certificates to get my Dyson Animal vacuum cleaner, a video iPod, gift certificates that I used to get videos and a gift for my Dad, and just now, a Nintendo DSi. I had been waiting for that one. I saw that I had enough credits for a Nintendo Lite, but I was advised to wait and get the DSi as it had lots more features, including a camera. What the heck, it wasn't as if I NEEDED the thing. So I waited and yesterday I saw that I had enough points. So, about 11AM yesterday I ordered a black matte Nintendo DSi (they had blue, but it was a funky looking blue-so I got black) using the standard shipping included in the points. Today at about 10:30AM I heard the backdoor. (Barrett who moments earlier barked his head off at a dog 300 yards away gave no indication that there was a man at out back door.) It was the UPS Man who had left a package. The Nintendo DSi. Talk about quick! I got it in less than 24 hours. When I later checked my e-mail I found one from about 1PM saying that the game had shipped. Shipped? It had shipped, arrived, and been played with! Thank you Thank You Network!

Samba de Amigo

I reason I wanted to get the Wii gaming system was so that I could get Wii Fit and do some exercising. Heaven's knows I need to exercise and I figured this would be a good way to get some more movement in my life. I was right I love the Wii Fit. The only issue I have is that just a few days after I started, I herniated 2 discs-so I was unable to do anything for a few months. I'm doing a bit now-but there are lots of exercises I haven't tried due to my back. Still, I'm doing something. The thing I love about Wii is that it does get you moving. Consequently, the games I look for are fun things to get me moving. I had heard great things about Outdoor Challenge. So I got it. Sadly, it's a bit too challenging for me. Hopefully, in time I can make use of it. I recently got Cardio Challenge. I haven't even tried that. That's OK, I got it since it was on sale and once I'm better I'll give it a shot. The other week I went across town to the great mystery library. They also have Wii games. The few times I've been there they've all been checked out, but this time I was lucky. I was extra lucky in finding the one game: Samba de Amigo. What a fantastic game; for me at any rate. The game is the story of Amigo, a monkey who plays the maracas. You become Amigo (or eventually his sister or other friends) and use the Wii remotes as maracas. There's a great Latin beat as you dance and shake your maracas in certain patterns. I love the music-you can't help but dance along. You also work up a good sweat. It's a great, fun workout and I intend to buy the game as soon as I can find it in stores!

Guitar Hero

Quite awhile ago I was browsing through Target when I saw a Special Edition Aerosmith Guitar Hero Bundle for Wii. Cool. Saw the price...not so cool. Time passed and I periodically thought of that game. Recently I was even considering splurging on it for my birthday. Thursday I was browsing around Target again and saw the Aerosmith game only on clearance, but I'd need the guitar. I kept going and there on an end cap-the Special Edition Aerosmith Guitar Hero Bundle for Wii on clearance. Ooohhh. Should I? They had a bunch. Maybe I'd wait and the price would go even lower. I asked the guy working how long they'd been on clearance and he said about a week and a half. Hmmm, maybe I should wait. Then he said electronics never goes more than 50% off (which the game was). Sold. Yes, I now have Guitar Hero. My first attempt was not pretty. First of all I couldn't figure out how to get the guitar strap on. OK-who needs that. So I started without it. Then, after playing a bit, I realized I was playing left handed. (Unless every other person I saw playing guitar was left handed.) Hmmm. Swapped it around and was even worse. Joe Perry kept shaking his head in disgust and walking away. No wonder I was always the singer in the band. Then I happened to be watching Moonlight on TV and saw Logan Playing Guitar Hero. From him, I figured out how to get the strap on and then I started to improve. I actually got through the whole of Uncle Salty! I really enjoy the game-but I can only play a little bit at a time as my hand starts to hurt. I've made it through Uncle Salty at 90% and have made it through All The Young Dudes. So far I haven't managed to get through the end of the Cheap Trick song and haven't tried the new Aerosmith song. It helps when you're really familiar with the song and for me it's easier to go full speed, I'm even worse when I practice in slow or slower modes. Anyway, I'm really enjoying it. Any other Guitar Hero players out there?

Road to the Roses

You've heard of fantasy football, but did you know there's also fantasy horse racing? I discovered Road to the Roses, a fantasy horse racing game that leads up to the Kentucky Derby. You create a stable with 10 horses, 2 jockeys, and 2 trainers. That's the easy part. (Well, after researching this years 3 year olds.) The hard part is that you can only activate 5 of your horses at a time. This means you have to make sure your horse is activated if he'll be running a race. So you have to know when the race is (easy, they list that for you) but you have to know which horses are entered and make sure yours are activated. If the horse is in your stable, but you don't activate him, you don't get any points. The first 2 races were yesterday and my Chocolate Candy won. (That's him winning in the picture.) I now have 8 points. I have another horse running on Monday. I don't know how the jockeys and trainers fit in to the scoring. My stable is Katreader's Prime and I created a league. If you're interested in joining my league, just let me know. The more the merrier!

Wii Fit

I got it! My parents gave me a Wii Fit for Christmas. I was excited to try it out-but was too tired and stuffed to try it out when I got home from their house. Although I didn't have time to really get into it, I wanted to set it up before I went to work on Sunday. I synced the board and started my initial profile. I selected my Mii and got started. I put in my height and birth date, then it started analyzing. Suddenly my little Mii wasn't so little anymore. Yup, I'm considered obese. Then it gave me my Wii Fit Age-not good. At least that age doesn't qualify me for social security...but jeesh. Anyway, I set a goal and gave myself a month. We'll see what happens. I tried a balance exercise-but I don't quite get it and consequently didn't do well. Hopefully, I'll figure things out soon. I'm going riding today-so I won't play today...but hopefully I can find time most days to do a little something!

Key Quest

Neopets has come out with a new game-Key Quest. It's an online board game you play with others. It's pretty neat-you go around the board trying to get keys. There are mini games involved too. It's still testing in beta and there are several bugs. Currently I can't get the game connected, so I can't play. It's frustrating because when you do finish a game you get virtual prizes and the neopoints you won in the game. I won some neat backgrounds and books. I'm going to clean rat cages, then I'll try to connect again.

Free Kibble

I want to help the environment and animals (aside from humans) as much as possible. However, I can only afford so much in donations, especially now, as the cost of everything is skyrocketing. So, when I get a chance to help for free-I try to make sure I do it. My mom shared a new website with me, www.freekibble.com You can go there and answer a trivia question. By answering the question 20 pieces of kibble are donated to an animal shelter-they even donate it if you get the question wrong! You can play once a day. From that site you can also go to www.freekibblekat.com where you can answer a trivia question about cats and get cat food donated. Guilty

Wii CAN be very dangerous. I was bowling and I swung my arm back only to hear a thud. I had hit Barrett right between the eyes. He had come up behind me and I never knew he was there. When I turned and put my arm out to check on him, he flinched as if I was going to hit him again. I felt soooo bad. I still do. He's forgiven me, but the look on his face, coupled with his shying away from me in fear... I don't think I want to bowl anymore.

Fanpop has done it again. They've added a quiz section. For each spot you can answer and/or add quiz questions. Then there's the superquiz which has questions from all spots. There's a leaderboard so you can see how you rank among other fans. You can also see if people of whom you're a fan have answered specific questions. You can also see how people are answering the questions you submit. And there are virtual prizes. I'm answering all kinds of questions-but I'm creating them too! That takes some effort as I like to include pictures. So, I have to find appropriate photos, copy them, then upload them. Now I'm spending even more time there. Of course, now that I'm back to work, my time spend there will diminish. Sigh. But if you're in the mood to try some trivia, check it out!

Wii

Whee! I love my Wii!!!! I'm having such fun. My folks got it for my birthday and I'm really enjoying it. So far I only have the Sports game that came with it and Wii Play. But both have several games within them to try and explore. I haven't tried everything yet. So far I really like the bowling. I'm pretty good at it too. I tried the Fitness test on Sports. Sigh. It told me I'm 47. Doesn't it know I just turned 40?!? The main problem was the darn baseball. I couldn't hit that thing to save my life. In all the throws, I only hit it once..it was a home run, but still only one hit. It took me quite awhile to hit the tennis ball too. Finally I could hit it, out of bounds, but, hey...after baseball, at least I hit it! I did wind up hitting the ground a lot too. Thank goodness the bowling was next. I'm sure I helped my age there. If I was lousy at that too, my Mii would be able to enroll in AARP and possibly even collect social security!

After ready reviews and talking to some people I'd like to get My Horse & Me (even if the horse is always on the wrong lead...LOL..you'd think they'd fix that!), Endless Oceans, Carnival Games (I didn't have interest until I read some reviews-now I want it!), and, as soon as it comes out at the end of July I want Order up, a cooking game. There is a cooking game now, but this new one seems like it may be better. So I'll wait.

Lazy

It's been a lazy day. I slept in, aside from Barrett getting me out of bed at 4:30AM and 7:30AM (when you gotta go, you gotta go) and have been in lounge wear all day. I watched the Heads Up Poker Tournament-they're down to 8 now. Unfortunately, I saw who won in a poker magazine-so the thrill is kind of gone, still, it's enjoyable watching these guys play. I planted my herbs from the wine trail and I've been playing on Fanpop. Josef has his own site-so I've been adding things to that. I need to do some stamping-maybe I'll get offline and do that. Or some organizing. Only today and tomorrow left for my vacation.

New Computer

I spent most of yesterday installing my new computer. For the most part, it went quite smoothly. I'm having some issues-right now I can't click on the box to write this blog-I have to tab my way in. Same thing happened when I used neomail. Hopefully, the situation will rectify itself. I haven't reinstalled my pictures and home movies yet. And now it says my printer has been disconnected. Who knows. I didn't want Vista-but they gave me no choice. One things-it sure is speedy. I can now play a game on Neopets I was having problems with before. My skill wasn't the problem-a slow computer was! I went from scoring around 150 with an all time high of 268 and I just scored over 1500! We'll see what happens next. (OK, I did some edits and now I can click in the box-go figure!)

Monopoly

I like Monopoly. I'm not sure why, but I do. I love the fact that there are so many versions out there as well. They don't just change places-but subjects. Monopoly versions range from places, sports teams, colleges, animals, food, almost anything. This creates a wonderful world for the collector. Yes, Monopoly games are among the many things I collect. My most unique game is a game given to me by my friend, Ruby, who lives in Japan. Yes, I have the Japanese Version of Monopoly. I can't read the chance cards, but I can still play the game!
