So Frustrated

I am so annoyed. I STILL can't watch TV. I don't know what I did-stupid new cable box. First I couldn't watch my DVDs-now I can-but can't get the TV back. Top Chef Masters is on tomorrow-plus I don't plan on paying $80 a month for no TV. What's the problem?!?!?!?!

Winter?

A short time ago (a week ago today, to be exact) I posted Summer? Now, I must post Winter? The temperatures have plummeted-we're in the 30's and yesterday it snowed. Yes, snowed. It's certainly not summer, but not really winter, welcome to Spring in Western New York!

Welcome Sam

A big welcome to Sam, the newest member of my family. Sam is an 11 year old Husky mix that I adopted with the help of Big Dogs Big Hearts and Buffalo Humane. Sam has been through a lot and I hope to make his last years his best!

Gagging

I have a major gag reflex. Getting dental x-rays is always awful. Lately, I even start gagging when I brush my teeth-and more so when I floss. Usually I just gag a bit and stop. Not last night. Imagine my surprise when I flossed my back teeth, started to gag, then actually vomited! I couldn't even turn to the toilet to lift the seat up-I vomited straight in the sink. And kept throwing up. I vomited to hard I even popped some blood vessels under my eyes. God, that was awful. I woke up this morning feeling hot and not at all well, but I had to get up as the cable guy was coming out (yes..again...grrrr). Anyway, I feel a but better now-but yuck!

Summer?

Last night I was hot all night at work. I opened the porch...and it was warm out there. I left work at 11:30PM and...it was warm, like really warm. When I got home, my computer said it was 63! This morning, at 10AM, it's already 73! It's windy and looks like there's going to be a storm, but what happened to Spring? These are summer temperatures!

Big Changes

Big changes are afoot. I'm almost 43 and have been pondering my purpose in life, my health, etc, etc. I'm going to make some big changes and hope I can see them through. Unfortunately, I have to keep my awful job-so that misery will have to remain with the hope that things there will get better.

Not so Quick

The quick turn around didn't happen. Class was canceled and now I have to go in to work. Ugh. I was so looking forward to not working the floor AND being home this evening. At least this is my Friday!

Quick Turn Around

I'm getting ready to leave for work-and, if things go as scheduled, I'll have a quick turn around. I have to attend training tomorrow-which starts at 7AM. My shift today ends at 11:30PM. I'll get home around midnight and have to leave the house about 6 hours later. In between that time I'll need to shower, sleep, and eat. These people have no consideration for those of us working Evening Shift. I just hope they don't stop me from attending-because if I do go, then I don't have to work that evening -so I'll be off from the time class ends (around 3:30PM) Thursday and I won't return until 3PM Sunday. Works for me-although Thursday evening off will be a bust as I'll be exhausted!

World Rat Day

Today is World Rat Day, a day to celebrate the wonderful pet rat. So, how did I celebrate? Well, I cleaned all the rat cages, hiding nuts (shells on) in the bedding. They also got a big chewable bone and before bed they'll share some baby food. I hope you gave your rats some treats-and if you don't have pet rats, why not celebrate by voting for my rats who are in a photo contest to benefit the Erie County SPCA.
